The requirements for a major in psychology are 32 credits:

One PEAK in psychology is required for the major. Options are course-based PEAKs (see course descriptions), PSYC Research PEAK, and PSYC Internship PEAK.

Note: AP scores of 3 = elective credit and students still need to take PSYC 111 Introductory Psychology; scores of 4 or 5 = PSYC 111 Introductory Psychology credit.

Note: These courses must be taken in order – PSYC 230 Statistics and Psychology Measurement is a prerequisite for PSYC 301 Research Methods in Psychology, and PSYC 301 Research Methods in Psychology is a prerequisite for PSYC 477 Senior Seminar in Psychology.

Note:  PSYC 361 Cognitive Psychology is offered each semester;  PSYC 218 Behavior Modification ,PSYC 318 Learning and Behavior,  are only offered occasionally.
