Since 1961, Concordia Language Villages has been offering internationally recognized language and culture immersion programs are offered for young people ages 7 to 18. Almost 3,000 villagers participate in our one-, two- or four-week summer sessions. In addition, language and cultural immersion programs are offered for families, adults, educators, college students and school groups throughout the academic year. Participants learn and speak one of 14 different languages: Arabic, Chinese, Danish, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Swedish.

Concordia students may participate in the Villages through college programs or as staff.

Language Training Center: Concordia College is one of ten Language Training Centers (LTC) in the United States funded by the Defense Language and National Security Education Office and administered by the Institute of International Education. The Concordia LTC was established in 2016 in collaboration with the Army National Guard; additional partners have been added since then. Concordia’s LTC, through its Concordia Language Villages, offers two-week and three-week residential iso-immersion sessions in eight critical languages.
