Major Requirements
This major prepares students to be recommended by the Concordia College department of education for Minnesota licensure to teach art in grades K-12. To be eligible to complete this major, the student must be admitted to the Teacher Education Program.
The requirements for a major in art education, are 56 credits plus 35 credits in education:

It is recommended that HART 155 History in Art I: Origins to the Early Renaissance be taken during the freshman or sophomore year.

Senior art teaching majors must participate in the Senior Art Exhibition. The teaching major in art qualifies graduates to teach art from kindergarten through grade 12.
